Raymond (Ray) E. Bourget, 82, passed away peacefully, November 24, 2019, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband and soulmate of the late Constance (Haynes) Bourget and was happily married for 50 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late George and Florida (Moyen) Bourget.
Ray was a U.S. Air Force veteran, New England Tech Institute graduate and an HVAC technician for the majority of his career, working on projects throughout New England. He lived most of his life in Manville and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In retirement, he was especially fond of spending winters pursuing leisurely activities and travel with his wife Connie, in the warmth of their Florida residence. Ray was also active in local events and organizations and was a past president of the Sayles Hill Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his son Edward Bourget, his wife Alexandra and two grandchildren, Frainziska and Antonia. Ray was one of four children and is also survived by his brother Roger Bourget and sister Violette (Bourget) Roy and was also the brother of the late Georgette (Bourget) Ryan.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am on Friday December 27th in Saint James Church, Division Street, Manville. Burial with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home 71 Central St. Manville.
