LOWELL – Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Budrow, age 58, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, at the Newton-Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care. She was the beloved life-partner of Coletta Gabele, with whom she had shared her life the past twenty-six years.
Jackie was born in Newton, one of four children of Catherine (Zukowski) Budrow of Tewksbury, and the late John Budrow, Jr. She was raised in Marshfield, and graduated from Marshfield High School. She went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a degree in Animal Science. She worked as a pharmaceutical researcher for several drug companies, but focused her talents in the area of Alzheimer’s Disease research for Eisai, Inc. pharmaceutical research company in Andover.
Jackie was an accomplished and talented golfer and enjoyed golf outings with “the girls” throughout New England, Myrtle Beach and Arizona. She also enjoyed skiing, bowling and playing pickleball. Jackie enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts. Her favorite was Jimmy Buffett (she considered herself a Parrothead).
Besides Coletta and her mother, she leaves a brother, John Budrow, III and his wife Laurie of Middleton, two sisters, Denise Budrow of Brockton, and Michelle Copponi of St. Petersburg, FL; six nieces and nephews, Alexa, John, Andrew, Nicole, Brittany, and Stevanie; numerous golfing friends throughout the Merrimack Valley and beyond.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 14, at 1:00 p.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering. The Tewksbury Funeral Home is honored to serve the Budrow and Gabele families. www.tewksburyfuneralhome.com.
