Obituary

Donald J. Seymour, 84, of Franklin died November 29 in St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton following a long illness. He was the husband of Ann E. (Thibeault) Seymour for the past 63 years.

Born in Boston, April 21, 1935, the son of the late Joseph and Jacqueline (Borghols) Seymour, Mr. Seymour was raised in Westwood and had lived in Franklin since 1965.

Donald had worked for Camger Chemical Systems in Norfolk for 15 years before retiring. He had previously worked for the Bird & Son Company in East Walpole for over 20 years, and was a member of the Teamsters Local 25.

Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and spending time with his grandchildren playing card games, proudly cheering teams on at meets and sporting events, and attending their school programs.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Patricia Seymour and her husband Allan Newell of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Donald B. Seymour and his wife Pamela (Iovanni) Seymour, of Franklin and Cheryl Kilcoyne and her husband Kevin, of Upton.

He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Nelson of Londonderry, New Hampshire and was the brother of the late Kenneth Seymour and Jean Patterson.

Donald is also survived by his grandchildren, Donald B. Seymour, Jr. Benjamin Seymour, Alexander Seymour, Samantha Kilcoyne, and Katie Kilcoyne.

In addition to his immediate family he leaves a niece, Jackie Seymour Pritchard of Santa Clara, CA. and three nephews; Kenneth Seymour Jr., Citrus Heights, CA, Keith Nelson, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Gregory Nelson, West Boylston, MA.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 12:00 p.m.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Franklin.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
