Irene C. (Grossi) Cappucci of Medford, passed away peaceful at home on Tuesday, November 26th. She was 91. Born and raised in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Virginia (Caruso) and Julian Grossi.
Irene was an employee of the New England Telephone company to which she retired in 1985. After retirement she spent her time taking care of her boys and her grandchildren who were her joy. She will be missed.
Irene was the loving wife of the late Albert F. Cappucci. She was the beloved mother of Richard A. Cappucci and his wife Jean of Framingham, Robert M. Cappucci Sr. and his wife Maria of Medford, and Albert Cappucci Jr, and his wife Christine of Georgetown. She is lovingly survived by five grandchildren: Robert Jr of Reading, Jimmy of Nevada, Jessica and Andrew of Georgetown and Victoria of Medford. Also survived by her two sisters: Joan Tosi and Gloria Lecesse of Cambridge.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather for calling hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, Friday November 29th, from 10 to 11:30 AM. Followed by a Funeral Service conducted in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Service will conclude with interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
