Martha L. “Marty” Snowden, 68, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, November 30, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Justin McCrimmon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 until the funeral hour on Saturday.
Mrs. Snowden was born April 9, 1951, in Miami, Florida, to the late Gordon & Peggy Peddy Albert. She moved to the community in 1992 and worked as a secretary for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources at the Bowens Mill Fish Hatchery.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ralph B. Snowden of Fitzgerald; children and their spouses: Jay & Becky Ford of Cincinnati, Ohio, Stephanie & Tim Geoghagan of Orange Park, Florida, and Doug & Karen Snowden of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Adam Geoghagan, Aaron Geoghagan, Andrew Geoghagan, Cameron Ford, Will Ford, Mitch Ford, Tanner Snowden, Carter Snowden, Lily Snowden, and Kenzie Snowden; great-grandchildren: Riley Geoghagan, Connor Geoghagan, and Violet Geoghagan; and a sister, Cindy & Larry Pass of Rutledge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Chris Snowden and a sister, Lindy Weller.
