James ''Demetrios'' Boulas of Medford died on Saturday, November 23, at Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston. Born in Chios, Greece, he was the son of the late Stefanos and Katerina (Drizos) Boulas. Demetrios was a hard working family man who was employed as a general contractor. What was most important to him was spending time with his grandchildren.
Demetrios was the beloved husband of Mary (Sfikas) Boulas, and the devoted father of Stefanos Boulas of Medford, Nicholas Boulas and his wife Helen of North Reading, and Christopher Boulas and his wife Sophia of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of Demitri, Andrew, Demetri and Maria Boulas. Demetrios was the dear brother of Irene Bouboulis of Greece, and the late Nick and George Boulas. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, both in the U.S. and worldwide.
A funeral service will be conducted in Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 29 Central St., Somerville on Saturday, November 30 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the church on Friday, November 29 from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
