William C. Moynihan, Sr., age 83, of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 25, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Judith F. (Putnicki) Moynihan, to whom he was wed for the past fifty-seven years.
Born in Boston, MA on September 11, 1936. He was a loving son of the late Maurice and Margaret (Weschrob) Moynihan.
Bill grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston and was educated in Boston Schools. He had made his home in Norton for the past fifty and had worked for many years at Leach & Garner in Attleboro, retiring as a Supervisor.
Mr. Moynihan’s family was the focal point and essence of his life. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and a former season ticket holder. When younger, Bill enjoyed golfing and bowling.
In addition to his wife, he was the devoted father of Laura Etter and her husband Wayne of Taunton , Willam Moynihan, Jr. and his wife Leah of North Attleboro, Mark Moynihan of South Carolina and his former wife Michelle Moynihan of Dighton and the late Darlene Patterson. He was pre-deceased by nine sibblings. He was the cherished grandfather of Trevor, Dalton, Madison, Mason, Cameron, Danielle and Charlotte and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In accordance to Bill’s wishes, services and burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted as well.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton.
