FALL RIVER – Joanne (Conlon) Bernier, age 78 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019 at St. Anne’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River, Joanne was the beloved wife of the late Leo Paul Bernier Sr. and the daughter of the James T. Conlon and the late Catherine (Plunkett) Conlon.
Prior to retiring, Joanne worked as a Floor Lady in the Textile Mfg. Mills in Fall River. Her favorite past time was spending quality time with her family.
Survivors include her son: Leo Paul Bernier Jr. (wife Kari) of Fall River; a brother: Edward Conlon of Fall River; grandchildren: Felicia Manchester, Johnathan William Paul Bernier, and Nickolas Paul Bernier; great grandson: Issiak Paul Copp; nieces & nephews. Joanne was the mother of the late Darlene M. Bernier and the sister of the late James Conlon and Margaret (Conlon) Ouellette.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main Street, Fall River on Saturday, Nov. 30th here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, 301 South St., Somerset at 9:30 A.M. Cremation to follow. Calling hours on Friday, Nov. 29th from 5-8 P.M.
