NEW BEDFORD — Lois Antoinette (Hopkins) Schlosser, age 98, of New Bedford, died Sunday, November 24, 2019 after a period of declining health.
Wife of the late Alois Anton Schlosser, she was born in Hyannis, daughter of the late Harold Hopkins and Emma (Cook) Hopkins and lived in this area much of her life.
She was formerly employed in the fishing industry at D. Fillet Company and her ancestry was of the Wampanoag Tribe at Gay Head.
She is survived by her daughters, Lois Paczosa and Patricia Botelho; her sons, Marcus Schlosser and Kenneth Schlosser; her brother, Harold Hopkins Jr.; many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Lois was the mother of the late Eric Schlosser and grandmother of the late Marcus Schlosser Jr. and Roger Botelho Jr.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday the 27th of November from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford with a service at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery.
