Obituary

SOUTH HADLEY – Susan A. “Susie” Ragoza, 61, a lifelong resident of South Hadley, was Carried Safely Home to Heaven by the Angels on Friday, November 22, 2019 surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. Susie was born in Holyoke on April 8, 1958, a “Special Angel” of Stasia M. (Sigda) Ragoza of Leeds and the late Charles F. “Charlie” Ragoza who was Called Home on April 4, 2015. Susie was Blessed to be one of God’s Special Children and worked at Sunshine Village. Susie was a beautiful person and was the light of everyone’s life. She was loved and cherished by her family, her wonderful caregivers and her many friends. Susie enjoyed going to concerts and loved listening to Polish music especially the music of her favorite band leader, Jimmy Sturr. Besides her beloved mother, Susie leaves her loving sister who was so good to her, Mary Anne Ragoza-Miller and her husband, Keith Miller, of Birmingham, AL; her two loving brothers, John F. Ragoza of Milford, MA and Michael A. Ragoza and his wife, Rita, of Madison, AL; her former sister-in-law, Karen Ragoza of Danvers, NH; her cherished nieces and nephews, Jocelyn Burnett and her husband, Joseph, Mallorie Bleka and her husband, Kristofer, Melissa Kershaw and her husband, Christopher, Christopher Ragoza and Jeffrey Ragoza and his wife, Kim; her two cherished grandnieces, Sophie and Charlotte; her loving uncle, Eugene Sigda and his wife, Linda, of South Hadley; her loving aunt and godmother, Alice Holst and her husband, Richard, of Camarillo, CA; and her many cherished friends and caregivers. Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley Falls, MA 01075. Her burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home.
