Nancy F. (Pacheco) DaCosta, 79, of Dartmouth passed away on Thursday November 21, 2019 after a period of declining health.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Gilbert M. and Claudia (Bouchard) Pacheco, she was raised in Fairhaven and lived in Dartmouth for most of her life.
Mrs. DaCosta was formerly employed as a cafeteria manager at the Dartmouth Middle School for many years until her retirement.
An avid golfer, she had been a member of the Whaling City Golf Course, Allendale Country Club, and Heritage Hill Country Club. She had been the champion of two local ladies fourball tournaments, and had achieved two holes-in-one during her golfing days.
She is survived by her former husband, Ronald DaCosta; her son, Thomas DaCosta and his wife Kathy; three granddaughters, Madison, Sydney, and Ally DaCosta; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Patricia Kent, Irene Parkinson, Gilbert Pacheco, Jr., and James Pacheco.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
