Obituary

Robert J. Cadger, 78

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Robert J. Cadger, age 78, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, November 24, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Jensen) Cadger, to whom he was wed on January 15, 1961.

Born in Quincy, MA on July 28, 1941, he was a loving son of the late Charlotte (Cadger) Guerra and her late husband Americo Cadger.

Bob grew up in Quincy and Hingham and was educated in Hingham schools. A resident of Mansfield for the past eight years, Mr. Cadger retired as a supervisor at Coaters in New Bedford, a company he was employed by for fifteen and had also worked at their former Abington location.

Spending time with family was the happiest part of Bobby’s life. Along with wife Betty, he enjoyed thirty years of camping at Canoe River Campground in East Mansfield. When younger his interests included fishing and throughout his wonder life, he had the ability to fix just about anything.

In addition to his beloved wife, who will miss him deeply, he is survived by his devoted children: Heidi E. Keaton and her husband Patrick of Port St Lucie, Florida and Brian R. Cadger of San Antonio, Texas. He was the dear brother of James R. “Jay” Guerra and his wife Ann of Norwell. He was the cherished grandfather of Zachary, Taylor, Brian and Blake and is also survived by his adoring nieces and nephews.

At his family’s request, all services will be held privately and visiting hours are omitted.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
