Obituary

Worcester - Stephen Dana Brown, 84, of Worcester, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 after a brief illness in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Born in Worcester, MA to the late Hadlin Harito and Jeanette Naomi (Walker) Brown. Aside from parents Stephen is predeceased by an older brother the late Richard Bruce Brown, Sr.
He leaves a sister, Gail Elizabeth Brown of Worcester, MA, nephews Abdul Halim Muwwakkil of FL, John Philip Gavin Brown of RI and niece Persis "Sue" (Brown) Clinton of NC plus several grand nephews and nieces, many cousins friends and neighbors.
Stephen was a devoted to his family and proud to be a descendant of George Rome, great grandfather, Civil War Hero, member of Glorious Massachusetts 54th Regiment and a man who built the home he grew up in. Stephen worked as a LVN at Worcester State Hospital for over thirty years after serving honorably in the US Army and graduating from Atlantic Union College. His interests included History, Genealogy, Music, Nutrition, Religion, etc. Stephen will be remembered as a loyal son, sibling, uncle, cousin, friend and neighbor sharing a unique sense of humor that he often shared with others and kindness in his spirit. Stephen was a loyal lifetime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
A service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th at 11:30 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
