New Bedford – Carlos M. DaSilva, age 65, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou (Carreiro) DaSilva.
Carlos was born in Faial, Azores, to the late Jose G. and Angelina (Correia) DaSilva. He had worked at Long Plain Service for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; 4 children, Michael Pires of New Bedford, Sherron Engel, wife of Peter of Acushnet, Brian DaSilva of New Bedford and Nicole Charron of New Bedford; 6 grandchildren, Noah, Avry, Amber, Zachary, Jazmine and Turner; 2 brothers, Roy Silva of New Bedford and Silverio DaSilva of Florida. He was also predeceased by his sister Bernadette DeMello.
Carlos’s Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday November 29, 2019 at St Marys Church on Takiln Hill Rd in New Bedford from 9 A.M.-10 A.M. followed by a memorial Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial of His Cremains will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
