TEWKSBURY – Elcine Mesilien, age 86, mother of seven and a resident of Tewksbury for the past fifteen years, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning, November 19. She was the beloved wife of the late Duton Jean-Pierre, who died in 1989.
She was born in Fond-Des-Blancs, Haiti, a daughter of the late Meliane Mesilien and Petit Frere Guerrier, and raised in Haiti. She emigrated to France and lived in Paris for seven years before coming to the U.S.A. in 2003. She moved to the Silver Lake area in Tewksbury in 2004 to live with her son and his family.
She leaves her children, Males Jean-Pierre, Joanis Jean-Pierre, Roselene Jean-Pierre, Micheline Jean-Pierre Augustin and her husband Nissage, Patrick Jean-Pierre, all residing in Paris, France, and Celange Jean-Pierre and his wife Marie, with whom she resided in Tewksbury, and was predeceased by her daughter, Jasmene Jean-Pierre; her grandchildren Listane, Nicksonn, Wilgo, Johanna-Wislet Woodshel, Pierson, Alex, Michael, Jordan,Edwidge, Sophia, Pauline, Christine, Johnny, and Vaanessa; her living brothers and sisters, Merita Carrenan, Germina Guerrier Joseph, Didier Mesilien, Lucia Gurerrier, Willy Guerrier, Lily Guerrier; late brothers and sisters, Manilia Mesilien, Bernadette St-Cyr, and Bienne Guerier; a brother-in-law Boniface Jean-Pierre; and affected families of: Michel Jean-Pierre, Bruno Guerier, Buissereth Mesilien, Gordet St-Cyr, Aime Alexis, Gaston Edouard, Clement Colas, Pierre Augustin, and Cadet Mathurin.
Visiting hours Friday, Nov. 29, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Saturday, Nov. 30, at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Dorothy’s Church, corner of Main and Harndon Sts. (Rte 38) Wilmington.
