Robert F. Hendrickson, 82, of Anderson, died November 19, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Anderson on July 30, 1937, the son of Herman and Gladys (Garrison) Hendrickson.
Robert worked 25 years at E.G. Vernon and Sons, 10 years at Prime Battery, P & J Concrete, then Grandview Square Apartments in Yorktown as Supervisor of Maintenance. He enjoyed Dominoes and playing Uno with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elsie Jean (Eversole) Hendrickson; five children, Robert P. Hendrickson; Robert E. (Patricia) Gourley, Tom (Susan) Gourley, Bill (Lisa) Hendrickson, Tim (Sandra) Hendrickson; step-daughter, Tina Hilligoss; ten grandchildren, Danielle (Matt) Bell, Chelsea Shepherd, Alicia (Stephen) Girt, Ashly (Andy) Wehr, Katie (Fernando) Hendrickson, Jason Hendrickson, John Snider, Logan Ross, Ava Gourley and Ella Gourley; eight great-grandchildren, Callum, Elaida, Callie, Madalynn, Marc, Christian, Collin and Camden; three siblings, Billy Dean, Beverly and Janie and several nieces and nephews and special friend, Eldon Boyer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Hendrickson and his parents.
Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Robert Hendrickson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinson's Research.
