Lorna A. (Carrachino) Beksha, 67, of Medway, died peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2019 at her home. She was the beloved wife of William A. Beksha for 43 years.
Born in Milford on June 16, 1952, she was the daughter of Lina (Marinelli) Carrachino and the late Attilio Carrachino. She grew up in Milford where she attended St. Mary’s High School. After graduating high school, Lorna attended Quinsigamond Community College. In her youth, Lorna loved playing music jamming on her keyboard with her rock band in her parent’s garage. Medway became her home after marrying William, where they lived for 43 years.
Before her retirement, Lorna worked for Dr. Michael Kennedy, an orthopedic surgeon in Natick, for 38 years.
Lorna enjoyed spending time at Old Orchard Beach in Maine and travelling to Vermont and New York in the fall. She was a lover of all animals, especially her cats. Lorna loved celebrating the holidays with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed sharing her culinary and decorating talents during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings in her home every year.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her stepson James Beksha and his wife Antoinette of Franklin, two sisters, Lynne Desjourdy and her husband Paul of Medfield and Lynette Goodart and her husband Timothy of Oxford, Connecticut, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Mark Carrachino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday morning, November 22 from 9:00 - 9:40 a.m. at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Lorna’s memory to the Fatima Shrine, 101 Summer St., Holliston, MA 01746.
