Lynwood "Clay" Lane, 56, of Ty Ty (Worth County) passed away Friday, November 15, 2019, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. Clay will be laid to rest at Pine HIll Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County. The family will receive friends Monday, November 18, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ashley Lane, Clint Patterson, Josh Williams, Taylor Lane, Skippy White and Rodney Patterson will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 12, 1963 in Donalsonville, Clay was the son of the late James Lester Lane and Myrtle Brown Lane. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Louie Carroll Lane; and one half-brother, Matt Lane. He was owner of his own paint and body shop and he loved hanging around the shop and spending time with his two pups, Gator and Skip. He also loved to spend time with friends who he considered family.
Clay is survived by his wife, Sheila Suggs Lane, of Ty Ty; one son, Travis Clay Lane and Katherine Kendrick of Ty Ty; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Rose Lane of Nashville, Gerald and Beth Lane and Keith and Penny Lane, all of Colquitt; and several nieces and nephews.
