Bridgewater- Karen R. Krukonis, 49, of Bridgewater died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, suddenly, at home.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Loretta (Sketch) Krukonis.
Miss Krukonis was employed at Mass. Bay Commuter Rail as a conductor and also worked for Amtrak, all together for 15 years.
A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, she was a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School and attended Plymouth State College.
She is survived by a brother, David and his wife Marcia Krukonis of Westwood; a niece, Kerry and her husband Ben Poinier of Bridgewater; two nephews, Mark and his wife Holly Krukonis of Weymouth and David Krukonis of Oregon. She was also sister to the late Fr. Richard Krukonis.
Her funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Thursday at 8:15 am, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 pm. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
