WORCESTER___Stephen A. Bissell, 66, of Worcester died on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center - University Campus. He leaves his partner, Deborah Powers of Worcester, his children, Stephen Bissell and John Bissell, both of Charlton, George Bissell and Jared Bissell, both of Worcester, Peyton Bissell of Boston, Courtney Beaudoin of Webster and Emilee Powers of Worcester; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Timothy Bissell and Kelly Bissell both of Marion Indiana; and one nephew. He was predeceased by his first wife, Susan (Chalmers) Bissell and by his second wife, Christine (Hickey) Bissell. Stephen was born in Marion, Indiana, a son of the late Harold and Alice (Veach) Bissell. He was also predeceased by two brothers and one sister, David Bissell, Karl Bissell and Melodee Bissell
Mr. Bissell worked many years as a drug counselor at the Worcester Public Inebriate Center/Shelter before retiring due to illness. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving with the USS Coontz .
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in DIRSA - MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester.
