Obituary

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Anne B. (Eddy) Cormier, age 88, of Pompano Beach, Florida, died Thursday, November 7, 2019, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of Richard F. Cormier.

Born in Fairhaven, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Edna (Sandells) Eddy and was a graduate of Fairhaven High School.

A longtime New Bedford resident, Anne was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church as a member of the altar guild, clerk of the church vestry, and active with the 20/30 club working on suppers, plays, minstrel shows, and rummage sales. Anne was also past president of the Lioness Club of New Bedford and a member of the Wamsutta club.

Living in Florida, she was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and active with many programs there.

In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by her son Brian and his wife Doreen; her daughter Susan; her grandson Ryan; her sisters Norma Markey and Carolyn Mitchell and her husband Thomas; as well as nephews and nieces. She was the sister of the late Sandra Sinioris.

Visitation will take place on Thursday (today) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford. Her funeral will be Friday, Nov. 15th at 11 a.m. in Grace Episcopal Church, 422 County St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
