Moneikis, of Brockton, January 20, 2006, Helen N. (Zamaitis) Moneikis, 97 years. Beloved mother of Anthony J. Moneikis Jr. , loving sister of Ralph Zamaitis and his wife Roberta of Brockton, Edward Zamaitis and his wife Elizabeth of West Bridgewater, Josephine Campion of Bridgewater and Mary Maynard of Washington, DC.
Following a Funeral Service this morning, she was buried in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton.

Helen N. (Zamaitis) Moneikis, 97 years died Friday at West Acres Nursing Home. Born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Andrew and Beatrice(Zenkevicz) Zamaitis. She remained a life long resident and was a graduate of Brockton High School and attended Catherine Labourea School of Nursing. For many years she worked in local shoe factories including Bridgewater Co-Op and ET Wright in Rockland. At the age of 59 she made a career change and worked as a nursing assistant at the Brockton VA Medical Center in the Psych and Surgical wards.
She had been a lifelong communicant of St. Casimir Church and belonged to several church sodalities. She loved sewing, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed making afghans and giving them to family members. She also enjoyed all sports and the theatre.
She is survived by one son Anthony J. Moneikis Jr. , of Brockton, two brothers Ralph Zamaitis of Brockton, Edward Zamaitis West Bridgewater, two sisters Josephine Campion of Bridgewater and Mary Maynard of Washington, DC., many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert and John Zamaitis.
