Alexandre Domond age 98 of Brockton died peacefully at his home on November 8, 2019. He was the devoted husband of the late Olga (Moliere) Domond for 64 years.
Alexandre was born and raised in Jacmel, Haiti a son of the late Septus and Adrienne (Pierre) Domond and had come to Brockton in1988. He had spent a lengthy career with the Haitian government as the Chief of Communal Affairs.
In his free time, Alexandre enjoyed watching movies especially westerns, wrestling and soccer. He also listened to political and world news stories.
Alexandre will be remembered as a quiet and dignified man who loved to observe and didn’t miss a thing. He wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Alexandre was the wonderful father of Elsie Thornton and her husband Otis of Brockton; Alex Domond and his wife Ketty of California, Ronald Domond of Cambridge, Charles Kavanaugh of Cambridge and the late Jean Robert DeLoretta. He leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marcel Domond, Mina Michel, Edmond Domond. Pauline Lherisson, Emile Domond and Pouplard Domond.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Saturday November 16, 2019 from 9:30-11am with a time to share remembrances 11-11:30. Funeral Service at 11:30 followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
