Edwina E. (Venne) Breton, 85, of Manchester, died January 24, 2006 at the Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on November 30, 1920, in Concord, NH, she was the daughter of Arthur and Delia (Smith) Venne. She was a 1939 graduate of Concord High School where she was a member of the girls’ basketball team.
Early in her career, she had been a civilian employee of the US Army Aircorps in Washington, DC. Throughout her career, she had also worked for the Veterans’ Administration, McQuade’s Clothing Store, and Jim’s Oxford Shop.
Mrs. Breton enjoyed the ocean and spending time at the family cottage at Newfound Lake. She most enjoyed the time she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren . She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church.
Members of the family include her husband of 59 years, Camil O. Breton of Manchester; one son, Ronald Breton of Manchester; one daughter, Joanne Jeannette of Manchester; a son-in-law, David Jeannette of Manchester; four grandchildren, Matthew Goldberg of Madbury, NH, Sarah Stavropoulos of Manchester, Beau Breton of Manchester, and Corinne Breton of Manchester; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Miles, and Anna.
Committal prayers was held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd, on Saturday January 28, 2006. Urn burial followed in the family lot.
