Carmela (Trombetta) Busnengo, 92 of New Bedford died November 1, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late John J. Busnengo.
Born and raised in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (DeMattes) Trombetta, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Edward Busnengo of Dartmouth; a daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Busnengo of Mattapoisett; 4 grandchildren, Lisa Busnengo, Kayla Milka, Alex Busnengo and Nina Busnengo; 4 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Elise, Max and Curtis.
She was the mother of the late Peter Busnengo and the sister of the late Anthony Trombetta, Nicholas Trombetta, Salvatore Trombetta, Jospeh Trombetta, Marion Scuzillo, Frances Fagone and Nina Conte.
Her Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8th at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her family will receive guests from 10-11 AM prior to her service. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
