Stanley Khorey, 87
Lifelong Norton Resident

Stanley Khorey,87,of Norton died on Tuesday January 24,2006 at Radius of Easton. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline(Delano) Khorey to whom he was married to on November 26,1955.
Born in Methuen,MA on June 7,1918 he was a dear son of the late John Khorey and the late Amelia (Saboroska) Khorey-Czarnowski.
He was educated in Norton Schools. He served in The U.S. Army during WWII as a Military Police Officer and was discharged with the rank of SGT. After his discharge he went onto graduate from The Lincoln School of Aeronomics in Lincoln,Nebraska where he received his pilots license.
He had worked in the Maintenance Dept. at The St. Regis Paper Co. in Attleboro for over 10 years before retiring in 1979.He had formerly worked for The L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro and at Talbots Woolen Co. in Norton.
He was a member of The 5th Armored Division Association. He was a member of the Balfour Golddusters. An accomplished Athlete, he was a standout baseball player in High School. He was a former member of the Attleboro Huskies Semi-Pro Football Team. He enjoyed boxing, golfing and bowling and had received numerous trophies for his accomplishments. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved animals. He was a lifelong resident of Norton.
Besides his beloved wife he is also survived by his devoted daughter Stacia J. Khorey,NFD of Norton. His sister-in –law Monica Khorey of Seekonk. His nephews John Khorey of Seekonk and Robert Khorey of California. He was the brother of the late Anthony Khorey.
His prayer service,to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Friday January 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St.(Off Route 140,Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Center Cemetery,Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday January 26th from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
