Roger D. “Butch” Deschenes, 68, of Lynn and formerly of Salem, died Monday, October 28, 2019, unexpectedly at the NSMC / Salem Hospital. Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of
Roger A. and Alice M. (Banville) Deschenes.
Butch was a graduate of Ste. Anne School of Salem and St. Mary High School of Lynn. He received his Bachelors Degree for Suffolk University. For many years he worked for Delta Airlines in Boston as a shipping specialist, retiring several years ago. Butch was a kind friendly and funny man.
He was always present to help anyone who needed a helping hand.
In addition to his parents who reside in Peabody, he is survived by his brother, Donald A. Deschenes and his wife Cheryl of Haverhill, his sister, Donna A. Deschenes of Rochester, NH and his niece, Lindsay Brianne Deschenes of North Hampton as well as his uncle and aunt Ken and Chris Banville of W Peabody. He will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hour on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:45 P.M. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [ Route 114 / 1-A ] Salem, to be followed by his Funeral Service in the funeral home at 7:00 P.M.
