Marguerite M. "Peg" (McIntosh) Hitchcock, a resident of Derry, New Hampshire and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her daughter's home in Derry, New Hampshire. She was 94 years of age.
Peg was born in Boston on July 11, 1925, a daughter of the late William McIntosh and Ellen (Hanlon) McIntosh. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from Charlestown High School. Peg was a homemaker throughout her life, taking care of her beloved family.
Peg is the loving wife of the late Kenneth J. Hitchcock. She is the devoted mother of Retired Boston Fire Department Deputy Chief William Hitchcock and his wife Geri, Margaret Princiotta and her husband Mike, Kathleen Hayes and her husband Bill, and Patricia Neff and her husband Tom. She is the beloved Nana Peg to 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is the sister of the late Gerald McIntosh, William McIntosh, Helen Sheldon, Carol Hoag, and Marilyn Hanlon. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Peg's Funeral on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
