Obituary

GORHAM- Mark Wane Nealey passed away at his home on October 29, 2019 in the presense of his loving family.
Mark was a kind man who aimed to please everyone he came in contact with. He was an avid race car lover, traveling in and out of state to watch many of the professional car races.
A man of many talents, he had an infectious passion in mechanics, repairing anything that had wheels or a motor. With the assistance of his son Mark, his biggest accomplishment and pride and joy was in the restoration of his "57" Chevy, in which he proudly showcased several trophies from Antique Car Shows.
Mark and his wife Brenda enjoyed entertaining friends and family at their home in Gorham. Mark enjoyed canoeing on the Saco River and claimed a special camping area naming it "Mark's Island" until flood waters washed away its banks. Mark's famous saying was "Goin' Fish'n down the brook".
In his early employment years he worked as a mechanic at Pelky's Auto and Agricultural -Daigle Potato Farm; splitting his residential time between Maine and Florida. His major employment of 40 years was as a Welder/Fabricator at Maguire & Jones and D & G Machine.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife Brenda (Dyer) Nealey of 44 years and two sons Mark Nealey II; his wife Casey and granddaughter Jillian, Ryan Nealey and his partner Nicole and grandson Zander. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Dorothy Nealey.
He is survived by his two sisters; Norma Quint, Doreen Nealey and her fiance' Stephen Rogers. Three brothers; Gary Nealey and his wife Angie, Peter Nealey, Dale Nealey and his wife Stacy. Also brother in-law Richard Dyer and his wife Julie. Sister in-laws; Deborah Dyer, Lori Coplin, Faye Dyer and April Wright and her husband Jeff, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
The family would like to express their thanks to Maine Cancer Center/Scarborough, Maine Medical Center and Hospice of Maine for their compassionate exceptional care and especially to family and friends who helped in delivering daily personal care and assistance.
At the request of the family there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Windham Gorham Rod and Gun Club.
