Patricia E. (Flaherty) Mahoney, 90, of New Bedford passed away Sunday October 27, 2019 after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Mahoney.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Matthew W. and Helene E. (Leggett) Flaherty, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Mrs. Mahoney was formerly employed as a long distance telephone operator for NYNEX and AT&T until her retirement in 1989.
She was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and spending time in her sun room. She also loved spending the holidays with her extended family.
She is survived by her son, Mark M. Mahoney and his partner James Finefield of New Bedford; and her nieces and nephew, Patricia G. Farrell of Barnstable, Carol Ann Licciardi of Methuen, Maureen Maher of San Anselmo, CA, and Michael D. Weber of Barnstable.
Her Funeral will be held on Saturday Nov. 2nd at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM.
