Michael J. Hoard, 61, of East Street, West Warwick, died Wednesday at the Bannister House in Providence. He was the husband of Debra A. (Thompson) Hoard.
Born in Fresno, CA, a son of the late Joseph and Jackie (Fisher) Hoard. He had lived in West Warwick for 12 years previously living in Lincoln. Michael had graduated from Johnson and Wales Culinary School. He was a chef at many local restaurants. He had been an All State wrestler in high school. He loved camping, going to the beach and spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife he leaves, his children, Michael Hoard, Jr. and his wife Shaleigh of West Warwick, Mathew Hoard and his wife Ashley of Lincoln, Larissa Hoard and her companion Dave of Lincoln, his grandchildren Joseph Therrien of Lincoln, Kyra Hudson of Lincoln, Shiann Hoard of Lincoln, Sophia Hoard of West Warwick, Mackenzie Hoard of Lincoln, Tyler Hoard of Lincoln, Ayden Hudson of Lincoln, Gabriel Hoard of West Warwick, siblings, James Hoard of Jamestown, Steven Hoard of Smithfield, Debbie Falcone of CA and his step-mother Joan Hoard of North Kingstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am at St. Jude's Church, 301 Front Street Lincoln.
