Obituary

Genevieve Pierre Edouard was born on June 2, 1950 in Haiti to Luc Pierre and Mariette Petit-Frere. When she was ten years old, went to live with her older sister, Rose Presume. Rose became a surrogate mother to Genevieve and her best friend. In her final days, Genevieve was comforted and cared for by her loving sister. Rose.
In July 1975, Genevieve came to Boston. Here she began her career, which included 25 years at Brigham & Women's Hospital where she rose through the ranks and became a supervisor in their Environmental Services department.
The greatest joy of Genevieve's life were her sons; Eddy, Ruddy, Alex, and Paul. Although life came with obstacles, she worked hard for them and sacrificed so that she could provide them with a comfortable home. She was also a loving and caring grandmother to her eleven grandchildren; Taynajha, Ka'rena, Davon, Janiyah, Alex Jr., Trinity, Elijah, A'Mia, Sophia, Paul, and Amira. Genevieve was an example of strength and motherly love to the mothers of grandchildren whom she loved as her own. All her children were blessed by the time they spent with her and they will forever be an example of her legacy of her strength, compassion, Godly worship, and courage.
On Thursday, October 24, 2019, Genevieve passed way in the presence of her loved ones. She was 69 years old. In addition to children and grandchildren, Genevieve is survived by her siblings; Frankel, Rose, Lucner, Arnold, Immacula, and Solange; and her many nieces and nephews.
