Gerald F. Goguen, of Tewksbury and former longtime resident of Wilmington passed away peacefully, October 23, 2019 at the UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester following a lengthy period of declining health. He was 70 years of age. Gerald was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Perry) Goguen. Born in Lowell he was the son of the late Frederick J. and Mildred R. (Turner) Goguen.
Gerald was raised and educated in Wilmington. Gerald worked for many years as a talented Machine Technician. He worked for many years with the Metronics Corp and later with C.R. Bard Company of Billerica making medical devices. He also worked for a number of years at Sweetheart Plastics. Always keeping busy, Gerald enjoyed working around his home and working on classic cars. He always had a project or two going on. Gerald will fondly be remembered for his strong work ethic and his devotion to his family.
Gerald is survived by his children; Brad Goguen of Lowell, Linda Carlino and her husband John of Tewksbury, Brenda Jackson and her husband Blair of Salem, NH, William Driscoll and his wife Denise of Lowell. He was the loving grandfather of Rosalinda and Cassius Goguen, Julie and Jennifer Carlino, Kerry and Kaitelyn Jackson, William Driscoll Jr., Robert and Alisha Driscoll and is also survived by four loving great grandchildren. Brother of the late Marilyn Goguen-Frith.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Wednesday, October 30th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
