Julio B. Sequeira, 90, of New Bedford died October 21, 2019 after a long illness at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in St. Vincente, Cape Verde, son of the late Bartolomeu V. Sequeira and Rufina R. doRosario, he lived in New Bedford since 2001.
He was formerly employed as a merchant seaman for many years until his retirement.
He was a musician.
Survivors include his 5 sons, Jose Sequeira, Adriano Sequeira, Carlos Sequeira, Julio Sequeira and Jorge Sequeira, all of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Etelvina Sequeira of New Bedford and Marcelina Sequeira of Cape Verde; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday, October 25th from 4-8 PM.
