Boutros A. Bouramia, 91, of New Bedford died October 20, 2019 unexpectedly at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Laurette (El-Hajj) Bouramia.
Born in Jbeil Ehmej, Lebanon, son of the late Assaf and Wardyieh (Kosseifi) Bouramia, he lived in New Bedford since 1988.
He was formerly employed at Melville Towers until his retirement.
He prayed everyday and was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Edouard Bouramia and his wife Mona of Lebanon and Jacques Bouramia and his wife Linda of Vermont; a daughter, Marierose Bouramia of Fairhaven; a son-in-law, Alan Johnson of Fairhaven; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Bouramia of Dartmouth; a brother, Boulos Bouramia of England; 4 sisters, Janodarc Moukaddem and Adla Bouramia, both of England, Youmna Haddah and Youssra Farah, both of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren, Ymane and her husband Dominic Galotti, Nayla, Alex, Nadia and her fiance Carlos, Karim, Maher, Murielle, Jerome, Leon and Guillaume Bouramia; 2 great-grandchildren, Giovanna and Augustine Galotti; several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Joseph Bouramia and the brother of the late George Bouramia, Terese Awad and Takla Bouramia.
His Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, October 24th at 11 AM in Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
