Obituary

In Smithfield, RI, October 19, 2019 Emma M. Dooley wife of the late Louis T. Dooley died with her family by her side at St Antoine’s Nursing Home after a long illness with Alzheimer’s at the age of 95. Born in Taunton, Emma was the daughter of the late Mabel (Petty) Bostock. Emma was a Red Cross Aide for the Myles Standish Camp during the war. She was the owner and operator with her husband of the former Dooley’s Café in Taunton until 1968. After that she worked for the former clothing store Pober’s in Taunton as a clerk, and she also worked for Morton Hospital in environmental services. She was an avid reader, loved to have coffee ice cream and especially loved spending time with her family. Emma was the loving mother and best friend of Luanne Dooley of No. Attleboro. Grandmother of Jonathan Tatro and his wife Amanda of Attleboro, Shaun Crimmins of No Attleboro and Amanda Crimmins of No Attleboro. Sister of Russel Bostock and his wife Rose of Taunton and the late William, Harry and Frank Bostock. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the Good News Bible Church, 235 West Street, Attleboro, MA, 02703 on Saturday, October 26th at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in Emma’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA, 02452.
