Worcester - Corinne (Deshaies) Lavoie, 88, formerly of 4 Hacker Court died Wednesday July 3 in the Meadows of Leicester Nursing Home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 62 years Edmond Lavoie of Leicester; a daughter Christine Donaldson of Cherry Valley; two sisters Marguerite Croft of Clearwater, FL and Louise Petkiewicz of Worcester; two grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mrs. Lavoie is also predeceased by eight siblings. She was born in Worcester daughter of Romeo and Clementine (Dumaine) Deshaies.
Mrs. Lavoie worked at the Peoples Laundry Company many years ago.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and it's Golden Age Club. Mrs. Lavoie was also volunteered at Holy Name High School in various programs when it was on Illinois St. including it's bingo and in the school library.
The funeral will be held on Saturday July 6 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St.. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Friday July 5 from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
