Jimmie Lamar Bullard, 82, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, October 20, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald Georgia, with the Rev. Jeff Parmer and Father Lloyd Prescott officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Bullard was born October 11, 1937, in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Hubert Lamar & Nellie Catherine “Nickie” Fletcher Bullard. He graduated from Fitzgerald High School and served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. Mr. Bullard later attended Southern Tech and received his Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He worked on the assembly line for General Motors. Mr. Bullard was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son John L. & Ashley Bullard of San Antonio, Texas; a grandson, Gareth Bullard of San Antonio, Texas; a sister-in-law, Dianne Bullard of Fitzgerald and a brother, Larry & Sandy Bullard of Hiram as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melba W. “Bonnie” Shephard Bullard and a brother, John F. Bullard.
