Girard “Jerry” J. Murphy
...worked at Regan Ford; 58
TEWKSBURY - Girard “Jerry” J. Murphy, age 58 died suddenly Saturday night Jan 21. He was
the husband of Mary Ann (Kasprzak), with whom he had celebrated a 39th wedding anniversary
this past November.
He was born in Boston, on October 10, 1947, a son of the late Girard and Catherine C. (Madden)
Murphy.
He worked as a service advisor for Regan Ford in Haverhill for the past 12 years. In the mid to
late 60's he served in the National Guard for 6 years.
He was a communicant of St. Dorothy’s Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Girard “Jerry” Murphy and his wife Jess (Tobin)
of Dracut, Deborah “Debbie” Currie and her husband Stephen of North Reading. Pam Murphy of
Tewksbury, Susan “Susie” Golini and her husband Michael of Tewksbury. Eight Grandchildren
Megan Murphy, Tyler and Jamie Currie, Nicole and Joey Pondelli, Michael, Haley and Kelly
Golini. One brother Robert and his wife Michele (Larichiuta) Murphy of Framingham. One sister
Patricia Sullivan and her husband Walter of Tewksbury. One Aunt Margaret Madden of Melrose.
One brother in law and dearest friend Steve Kasprzak and his wife Carol of Watertown. He is
also survived by many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
His Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Jan. 25, in St. Dorothy’s Church, Wilmington. Committal prayers following Mass were held at St. Mary's Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
