CHICOPEE – Robert P. “Bob” Beaulieu, 82, of Ludlow, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, October 17, 2019. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Ludlow on February 17, 1937, a son of the late Henry L. and Fannie (Krynicki) Beaulieu. He was raised in Ludlow, Springfield and Chicopee before returning to Ludlow in 1962. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and attained the rank of Airman First Class. He was employed for 21 years as a Correctional Officer at the Somers Correctional Facility in Somers, Connecticut and retired in 1991. Bob enjoyed spending time out on the links playing golf. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his wife, Joan C. (Pratte) Capeless Beaulieu; his son, Mark P. Beaulieu and his wife, Cheryl, and their children, Lyndsay, Courtney, Jeff and Danielle; his daughter, Michelle A. Arsenault and her husband, Charles, and their children, Eric, Jill and Kyle; his step-son, Michael N. Capeless and his wife, Linda, and their children, Michael Jr., Deven, Andrew and Summer; his step-daughter, Rita M. Meikle and her husband, John, and their children, Samantha, Stephanie and Logan; his step-son, Matthew J. Capeless and his wife, Laura, and their children, Candy and Matthew Jr.; his step-daughter, Julia A. Whouley and her husband, John, and their children, Paige and John; his great-granddaughter, Zoe; his step-great-granddaughter, Katie; his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Ringenbach family, Roger Ringenbach and his wife, Eileen, Sheila Szfransky and Judy Ringenbach; his sisters-in-law of the Pratte family, Anne Lemoine and Jackie Tower; and his many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Beaulieu, Ringenbach, Pratte and Capeless families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Marcella A. (Ringenbach) Beaulieu who was Called Home on October 7, 1996 and his son, Richard P. “Ricky” Beaulieu who was Called Home on August 21, 2011. His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 7:45 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Committal Service with United States Air Force Military Honors will follow the Mass at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
