Gertrude (Cote) Baril , 92, beloved wife and mother of North Andover passed into God’s Care on October 14th, 2019 at Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport MA. Gertrude was the daughter of the late David and Marie Anne (Pelletier) Cote. Gertrude, best known as mom and nanny, was the beloved wife of Horace M. Baril who passed into God’s care on March 4, 2018. Gertrude and Horace celebrated 70 years of marriage on June 21, 2017 before his passing. Horace was a beloved husband and father as well as a WWII Navy veteran who served on the USS Alabama through many campaigns prior to marrying Gertrude. Gertrude is survived by all her children, Bert Baril and wife Cheryl of Tallahassee Fla., Chantal Perry and her family of Lawrence MA., David Baril and wife Beverly of Haverhill MA., Dale Baril and Priscilla Of Andover MA., Bruce Baril and wife Jane of Plaistow NH as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister in law, nieces and nephews .

Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Baril's funeral. Her funeral procession will begin Friday October 18th at 11:00 am at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Road, Dracut. Mrs. Baril's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm at Our Lady Of Good Counsel, St. Theresa Church on 22 Plymouth Street In Methuen, burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
