SWANSEA - Mary T. (Silvia) Machado, age 88, residence 2045 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, formerly of 181 So. Main St. Fall River, died Saturday in Swansea at Country Gardens Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph Machado. Mother of Frank Peter Machado of Fall River, Barbara Ann Machado and Madeline Carvalho both of Swansea. Grandmother of Lisa Thomas & Mark Carvalho. Great-grandmother of Seth Thomas & Ryan Carvalho and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Frank, and Dennis Silvia, Molly Miller, and Evelyn Silvia
Born in Somerset, the daughter of the late Frank P. Silvia and the late Rita (Garcia) Silvia. She had been a resident of Fall River for most of her life only moving to Swansea in 2005. She was a Homemaker at home and was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fall River.
Her Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main Street on Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Cathedral at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday 6-9 P.M.
