In Taunton, October 12, 2019, Harold F. Sweeney Jr., Age 72, passed away in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. Harold was born in Brockton, the son of the late Harold F. Sweeney Sr. & Doris (Bertowice) Sweeney. Harold attended Raynham schools and was a graduate of Bridgewater Raynham High School. He was a resident of Raynham and also a longtime resident of Taunton. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the #229 Calvery Unit while in the U.S. Army. Before his illness, Harold designed jewelry and a talented model maker. Harold enjoyed working on jewelry, wood carving, reading, ice fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Harold is survived by his loving son James Sweeney of East Bridgewater. He also leaves his sister Donna Mosco and husband Tom of Derry, NH and his late brother Charles Sweeney. Harold also leaves several nieces and nephews and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, October 16th from 5-8pm. Graveside service at Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham on Thursday at 10am.
