Thelma D. (D’Ambrosio) DiPietro, of Medford, passed away on October 9. She was a 100 years old. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Angelo and the Ermenia (Festa) D'Ambrosio. She married Armando J. DiPietro.
Thelma worked a seamstress for many years in the textile industry. During World War II, she would manufacture coats for the U.S. Army to be sent overseas to the troops that were fighting in Europe.
Thelma was the beloved wife of the late Armando J. DiPietro and the devoted mother of Gilbert A. DiPietro and his late wife Elaine of Reading. She was the adored grandmother of Danielle, Matthew and Ryan DiPietro and the loving great-grandmother of Aiden DiPietro. She was the dear sister of the late Angelo, Carmella, Angie, Adeline, Clem, Asuntha and Tony. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Tuesday, October 15, from 9-11AM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 11AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
