Obituary

Violette (Dore) (Gill) LeBlanc, 78, of Manchester, died January 21, 2006 following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Manchester on July 14, 1927, the daughter of Rodolphe and Ida (Bedard) Dore.

After her retirement from Sanders, Mrs. LeBlanc worked at LeBlanc’s Shoe Store. She had most recently volunteered at the Elliot Hospital gift shop.

She loved ballroom and line dancing and was an avid bowler. She was a communicant of the former St. John the Baptist Church and was a member of the parish’s St. Anne Sodality.

Members of her family include her husband of 27 years, Raymond LeBlanc of Manchester; a daughter, Diane Barriere of Manchester; a step-son, Denis LeBlanc of Acton, MA; a step-daughter, Sylvia O’Rourke of South Riding, VA; six grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Gill, a daughter, Dolores Stelmack, a brother, Henri Dore, and two sisters, Doris Dore and Jeannette Coutu.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in the Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley St, on Tuesday January 24, 2006. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A reception followed at the Puritan Back Room Restaurant.
