Rita Norman, 55, of Omega passed away Friday, October 4, 2019, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Mike Carter officiating. Mrs. Norman will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, October 7, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Kyrstin Tucker, Martin McEntyre, Cody Veal, Harold Norris, Charlie Horton and Kenneth McEntyre will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 30, 1963 in Live Oak, Florida, Mrs. Norman was the daughter of the late Hollis Beck, Sr. and Earline Cornett Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louie Norman; and one sister, Hollie Ray. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Norman is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Ouida Veal of Tifton and Jessie and Tillman Lott of North Carolina; one step-son, Brandon and Jessica Norman; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Monica Veal of Tifton, Wendy Wachowiak and Lee Walker, Trina Pritchard of Omega, Salita and Jason Hudson of Texas and Jessica Wachowiak of North Carolina; one brother, Hollis Beck, Jr. of Tifton; one sister, Tammy Dean of Tifton; seventeen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
