Lexie Lee Peacock,64, died Friday, January 20,2006 in Tri Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS. Mr. Peacock was a painter and worked for Pettis Cigar Co. for 15 years. He served in the US Army in the Department of Central Intelligence during the Bay Of Pigs Cuban conflict, was a mamber of the Honor Guard, played on both the golf and tennis teams semi-pro in the military, and was a member of the Odd Fellows of Water Valley. Lexie was a member of North Main Methodist Church and later, Hopewell Baptist Church.
The family will receive visitors at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday evening, January 22, 2006 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Monday, January 23, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
Mr. Peacock leaves behind: his wife, Imogene Hargett Peacock of Water Valley, MS : Daughter, Katrina Jordon and husband Jeff of Batesville, MS : sons, Vernon Doyle Smith, Jr of Batesville, MS and Jeremy Smith of Scottsboro, AL: brother, Noel "Bubba" Peacock and wife Margie of Calhoun city, MS.
Preceding him in death were his parents, J.W. Peacock and Frances Godwin Peacock.
