T. Darold Griffin, 75, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, October 5, 2019, at The Ocilla Church of God, in Ocilla, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner, the Rev. Joshua Bowles and the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Griffin was born April 5, 1944, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Thurman M. & Elsie Harper Griffin. He was a farmer and a forklift operator for Pace and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and making cane syrup. Mr. Griffin never met a stranger and was a member of the Ocilla Church of God.
He is survived by his four children: Troy Griffin & Heather of Lewisville, Texas, Trenton Griffin of Ocilla, Trever Griffin & Stacey of Ocilla and DeLynn Clark & Robert of Ocilla; grandchildren: Dane Griffin, Danielle Yeager, Ashlee Mullis, Ryan Clark, Cameron Odom and Justin Odom; great-grandchildren: Blake Yeager and Oliver Mullis and a brother and sister-in-law: Steve & Linda Griffin of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Cardwell Griffin.
