Obituary

May C. (LeBlanc) Pinault, 96, of Salem, passed away peacefully and on to new life, on Monday, September 30, 2019, with her family by her side. May was the loving wife of the late Roland A. Pinault with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in the ‘Castle Hill’ section of Salem, she was the daughter of the late I. Napoleon and Marie (Gagnon) LeBlanc. May was a graduate of Ste. Anne School and St. Joseph Academy. After entering as a Novitiate of the Sisters of St. Chretienne, she was soon called to return home to care for her parents and siblings. Following the marriage to the love of her life, she was later to devote her life to the raising of their family. May was a devoted daughter, wife and mother, always putting others ahead of herself. She had an unwavering commitment to her family, Ste. Anne Parish and the community. As the owner and proprietor of the ‘Knit One’ knitting goods store, she enjoyed many hours of assisting fellow knitters and crocheters, many of whom donated their creations in support of the Knit Both at the Ste. Anne Annual Bazaar. She was also a member of the League of Catholic Women and for many years, a cherished member of the Ste. Anne Choir.
May is survived by her five children: Jeanne Marie Danilczuk and her husband William of Stratham, NH, Richard E. Pinault and his wife Pamela of Porter, ME, Judith A. Ware and her husband Ralph of Salem, Raymond O. Pinault and his wife Nancy of Windsor, CT and Roland A. Pinault, II and his wife Amy of Bella Vista, AR, as well as twelve grandchildren; James Riley, Sandra Boule, Nathan Danilczuk, Nicolas Pinault, Benjamin Pinault, Rachelle Averill, Joseph Pinault, Marie Adele Ware, Jennifer Maziarz, Allison Madden, Acadia Pinault, Abigail Pinault and fourteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Delores LeBlanc. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Paradis and brothers, Napoleon, Edward and Robert ‘Jerry’ LeBlanc.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette T. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 12:00 Noon. Calling hours, at the funeral home, will be on Friday, Oct. 4th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a memorial contribution to Ste.
