FALL RIVER… Maria do Ceu (Lopes) Cabral, 76, of Fall River passed away September 28, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Beira Alta, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Alzira (Fernandes) Lopes and had moved to Fall River in 1971.
Mrs. Cabral was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church and had worked for many years as a Machine Operator at various mills throughout Fall River. She had enjoyed Praying the Rosary, crocheting and above all, spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter: Maria Lourdes Cabral (companion: Michael Dias) of Fall River; her son: Fernando Cabral of Auburn, MA; her grandchildren Anthony Ivy (wife: Ivy Rose), Brianna Dias and Thaysha Gagne; her great grandchildren: Benjamin Cabral, Alexis Ivy, Mia Ivy, Zoe Ivy, Kori Ivy and Aurora Gonzague; 6 sisters; 5 brothers; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sandra Lopes Cabral, grandmother of the late Kory Cabral and the sister of the late Aida Fernandes and Alice Martins.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM from South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Friday from 9 - 10:30 AM, prior to the funeral.
